One tough kid, that boy of mine.

Cameron has been having a tough time with his companion E. Hendrickson, he is very arrogant and does dumb things. Cameron has a hard time dealing with stupid people. So being with E. Hendrickson has been a real trial for Cam. That is the reason for the the first line of his letter.

Hey,

Thanks for the prayers... I NEED them. Things have been a little better.

Monday however was the worst day ever... I got so sick. We decided to ride our bikes... Craig... is ALL hills. I was excited to actually ride our bikes though.. E. Hendrickson is just too lazy to get on our bikes... yet he always complains about not having enough miles. Anyways... so we started and we got about two and a half miles and stopped to talk to this guy... so we did... and when we started off again.... I blacked out and almost fell over. But I regained my balance and kept going... I was only out of breathe and light headed and had a small headache... but when we got to the apartments we were going to (another mile later) I was in bad shape. I locked our bikes and then I collasped... I couldn't see anything everything was blurry and I had THE worst migraine I've EVER had... my head was going to split open. So we rushed to a member's house that lived in the apartments and I crashed on her couch... I just laid there with my eyes closed and my hands slowly going numb... and E. Hendrickson taught her a lesson for what only seemed like a few minutes but he told me later I was out for about 45 minutes. But then I got super nauseous and went to her bathroom... and just sat in there for a mintue. But then I called Sister Cristison, our mission president's wife... and she said to go home and sleep for a hour or two. We called the other Craig Elders and they came and picked us up because we had our bikes and I couldn't ride them back... But I slept for a while and was finally well enough to go back out and worked... I still had a pretty bad headache but it was then bearable.
I'm really glad I decided to go back out and work because we knocked on a few doors... and nobody answered... until we met Rodger... we talked with him for an hour on his doorstep... he eventually said he wasn't interested but when he started arguing with us all I did was bear my testimony about how much I know that that Book of Mormon is true and how its brought indescribable happiness into my life and why I was out sharing the gospel with everyone... and I KNOW he felt something...but he wasn't willing to change... I know he'll eventually come around... Mind you I still wasn't feeling good when we left the house but the second I started bearing my testimony... I felt fine.
But I am fine now dont' worry.

So guess what!!! Mother's day is coming up soon!! I get to call you! I am so excited. I cannot wait... it'll be on, Mother's Day of course, but it'll probably be around.... 6 or 6:30 that evening. just be ready cuz I'm not positive when it'll be exactly.

Craig is a Coal Mining town... There are three coal mines.... Colowile, Trapper and Twenty-Mile... that's where Everybody works. But they've recently passed a "Clean Air" law where they can't be running as much and stuff... I don't understand it exactly but its not good because they might ahve to lay off about 200-400 people.. from each mine... and that's what keeps this town running... seriously... it'll be scary to see what happens..

We set an investigator with baptismal date... May 8. Billy Jones is about 42 years old and he's been taught the lessons for about 7 years. But he's been having a hard time trying to quit smoking... his wife is a member. But we helped him quit and now he told us he's ready... I'm very excited for him.

We get our new mission president on July 1. His name is President Maynes... I'm not sure where he's from... I think southern Utah... either that or Arizona.... I'll let you know when I find out..
No there aren't any sister missionaries in our district... I don't think in our zone either... there are three Polynesieans though... E. Plunkett, E. Finau, and E. Anu'iu... they are awesome I love them.. they're great.

You're in my prayers!

Your son,

Elder Landon
